Especialidades | Projeto Brumadinho

This page is an invitation for information, through researchers from the Brumadinho UFMG Project, about scientific knowledge, their specialties and how they will contribute to the subprojects in which they work.

A specialist is dedicated to a field of study and each specialty is embedded in a field of science. However, it is necessary to understand that knowledge intersects and complements each other: interdisciplinarity expands our ability to demonstrate and qualify the diversity of impacts resulting from the Brumadinho disaster.

They are teachers who tell us about the importance of statistics to unravel the problems of collective health; from chemistry applied to the risk analysis of contaminants in food; the use of cartographic engineering that is present in our day when we use applications like Google Maps or Waze; the application of Cell Biology to identify contamination in fish; the analysis of soils and relief to understand a landscape, its functioning and its alterations, among other research focuses

Thus, we will enter the vast world of science and its specialties, understanding the contribution of each one so that we can achieve the goals of the Brumadinho UFMG Project.
