Subproject 10
Collection of groundwater samples from the Paraopeba river basin for determination of metals, metalloids, thermotolerant microorganisms and Escherichia Coli
Subproject 10 - Collection of groundwater samples from the Paraopeba river basin for the determination of metals, metalloids, thermotolerant microorganisms and Escherichia Coli has as main objective to propose and execute a plan to collect groundwater samples from the Paraopeba river basin for determination of metals, metalloids, thermotolerant microorganisms and Escherichia Coli, according to the sampling plan presented by the Technical-Scientific Committee (CTC).
This objective is divided into:
- Carry out awareness-raising meetings with the community of Brumadinho and residents of other affected locations for dissemination and clarification on the collections that will be carried out;
- Collect groundwater samples for the parameters described above and carry out the analysis of physical-chemical parameters in the field, according to the sampling plan provided by the CTC;
- Hire a company to carry out microbiological analyzes and proceed with the delivery of samples and evaluation of the results provided by the company.
Methodological steps
1st Stage - Acquisition of permanent and consumable materials that will be used in collections, hiring auditors and drivers and car rental.
2nd Stage - Open awareness meetings with the population of the regions where the collections will be carried out.
3rd Stage - Training of material collection and preparation teams
4th Stage - Preparation of material for collection
5th Step - Sample collection and field analysis
6th Stage - Receipt and verification of samples
7th Stage - Microbiological analysis
8th Step - Preparation of reports
